Singer explores life, God in ‘Come Down’

Woodstock singer-songwriter and worship leader Carisa Turner is set to release her sophomore EP “Come Down” on Tuesday, which features five new songs written by Turner that explore a variety of topics, including restoration, adoration, worship, sorrow and lament. Technically, Carisa Turner missed the deadline to enter a national songwriting contest sponsored by the Christian Women in Media Association. “I found out about it the day after it closed, but when I emailed them the lady said if I could get my entries to her that day, they’d be accepted,” Turner said.
