Ever since I can remember, music has been part of how I moved through the world. Growing up, I began playing piano when I was four years old. From then on, I always seemed to have a song in my head.
I wrote my first official song in 8th grade, not long before coming to faith in Christ in high school the next year. What started as simple melodies composed at the piano as I figured out my new faith grew into a love of songwriting and a calling to lead worship.
From that point on, music became more than a creative outlet—it became a way of engaging with God and His church and helping to steward this beautiful and holy calling God had placed upon my life.
Over the years, I’ve had the joy of serving as a worship leader in several churches, both on staff and in lay leadership. I have led worship for women’s retreats, conferences, and gatherings of all shapes and sizes and consider myself a worship pastor at heart, wherever I go in this world.
It’s also been a joy to write and record my own collection of songs and share both my music and stories behind it with others through house concerts, coffee shop tours, special events, and other songwriting showcases. My favorite collection of songs comes from my “Come Down” EP and I am honored that one of my songs won a national award through the Christian Women in Media Association.
about me
Over the years, I developed a deep love for scripture, theology, and teaching.
I’m continually amazed at how knowing God more deeply shapes the way we worship Him, and how worship, in turn, forms us in truth. The more I explore the Bible, the more I am amazed at the riches of knowing God’s word. And the more I have learned that the language of worship is the language of God’s word - especially in the Psalms, which is why they are so near and dear to me.
Today, I have the absolute joy of serving on the teaching team through the women’s ministry at our home church. I have loved stepping into this new space that allows me the opportunity to bring the truth of scripture to life.
I live in Georgia with my incredible husband and our three amazing children, where we are members of Sojourn Community Church in Woodstock. By day, I work as a leadership and communication advisor for one of the largest global humanitarian nonprofits in the world.
In the day-to-day moments, you’ll usually find me on a long walk with my husband, reading a good book, hiking in the mountains, losing to my kids in Mario Kart, eating ice cream, talking with a friend, or daydreaming about our next travel adventure.
